Whitney, an Emmy award-winning anchor and reporter, is overjoyed to be back at Arizona’s Family, feeling a sense of homecoming.
Growing up, Whitney would tune in to the morning news before school, eager to inform her parents about the day’s events. During her time at Arizona State University, she interned for Good Morning Arizona, making her return even more fulfilling and reminiscent of a dream come true.
Prior to her arrival in Phoenix, Whitney dedicated almost five years to KGUN9 in Tucson. Starting as a nightside reporter and fill-in anchor, she eventually ascended to the morning anchor desk. Her coverage spanned a wide range of topics, including high-profile immigration cases and the historic 2016 presidential campaign. Whitney also spent four years at KTVL News10 in Medford, Oregon, further adding to her diverse experience in the field.
Whitney resonates with Mr. Rogers’ quote about seeking out “the helpers” during challenging times. She firmly believes in sharing the positive news and uplifting stories happening around the world. If you have any “good news” to share, you can reach out to her at whitney.clark@azfamily.com.
During her leisure time, Whitney takes pleasure in exploring Arizona’s breathtaking hiking trails, experimenting with new recipes, and indulging her cat, Gertrude McFuzz, with an abundance of toys.
Giving back to the community holds great significance for Whitney. Over the years, she has volunteered with various Arizona organizations, including Literacy Connects. She actively participated in the Junior League of Tucson, Inc. and served as a board member for Our Family Services, a Tucson-based nonprofit. She looks forward to engaging in community involvement within the Valley as well.
