Zahra Ullah is a producer on the International Desk, stationed at CNN’s Asia Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong. Her role involves covering a wide range of breaking news stories and events across the globe.
Ullah has been deployed to various locations for significant breaking news coverage. She reported from Seoul during the impeachment of President Park and the escalating tensions on the Korean peninsula. Additionally, she was on the ground in Istanbul for the 2016 Ataturk Airport attack and worked from CNN’s London bureau, providing coverage on Brexit, the June 2017 London Bridge attack, and the 2017 UK election.
Prior to her assignment in Hong Kong, Ullah worked at CNN’s EMEA headquarters in London. There, she served as a producer for Richard Quest, a prominent international business correspondent and the anchor of Quest Means Business. In this role, Ullah was responsible for booking CEOs and world leaders who appeared on the show. She also engaged in field producing across Europe, including assignments in Athens during the 2015 Greek Referendum and at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Ullah pursued her education at the University of Warwick, where she earned a First-Class BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics.
