Zoltan Csanyi-Salcedo is an America Broadcasting Journalist on television and radio in both English and Spanish for over 30 years. He is currently working as News Director for CBS 19 in Texas, since January 2019.

Zoltan has lived most of his life in the southwest but has also lived on the east coast in New York City, Connecticut, and Miami. He also lived in Colombia for many years and is fluent in English and Spanish.
Zoltan’s career has allowed him to experience many challenges and cover many high-profile stories. Beginning his career at the age of 13 as a disc jockey for a Spanish language radio station in Albuquerque, NM where he eventually began reporting and anchoring newscasts while in high school. Among some of the stories he covered was the 1980 NM State prison riot near Santa Fe where 33 prisoners were killed and over 200 people injured and are known as the most violent prison riot in American history.
Eventually, Zoltan landed in El Paso, TX where he was News Director for a local radio station which won Best Newscast from the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters (a first for a Spanish language radio station).
Zoltan eventually moved to television and has been a News Director and manager in El Paso, Albuquerque, Dallas, and the Rio Grande Valley as News Director for ABC, CBS, NBC, Telemundo, and Univision affiliates. Zoltan also spent two years at ESPN as Coordinating Producer for SportsCenter.
